Request deletion in the app
Open Kitabu AI, sign in, go to your profile, then choose Account deletion. To prevent accidental requests, the app asks you to review the warning and type a confirmation phrase before the request is submitted.
After the request is submitted, you are signed out and the account is marked for deletion. The account cannot continue using Kitabu AI while deletion is pending.
If you cannot access the app
Email hello@kitabu.ai from the email address linked to your Kitabu AI account. Include the account email or phone number, your name, and the role on the account, such as student, parent, or teacher.
We may ask for additional information to verify that the request is from the account owner or an authorized guardian, parent, school representative, or administrator.
Delete personal data without deleting your account
If you want us to delete specific personal data but keep your Kitabu AI account, email hello@kitabu.ai from the email address linked to your account. Describe the data you want deleted and include your account email or phone number so we can identify the correct account.
We may ask you to verify your identity. We will delete or anonymise eligible data while keeping your account open, except for limited records we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, or dispute-handling purposes.
What gets deleted
Account deletion removes the account and associated account data from Kitabu AI servers, including profile details, learning activity, progress records, saved preferences, and account-linked service records that are no longer needed.
Some limited records may be retained only where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, or financial records.
School-managed accounts
If your account is managed by a school or organization, we may need to coordinate the request with the school administrator or authorized account owner before deletion is completed.
